Reading, Walking, Talking and that bathroom incident!
Well I've been slack on the Blog thing, so I apologise, and there is soooo much info I don't know what to put...
Both boys are getting huge now! Harry is 2 and a half, and Zaccy is nearly 9 months old.
Harry is getting to that age where he no longer thinks a daytime nap is necessary, problem being then Mummy doesn't get her day time nap and gets veryyyyyy cranky! And then at about 6pm he turns into Devil spawn (just in time for Phil to get home - lucky Daddy). So that is a bit of a struggle, but other than that he is a gem. He has started reading! Which just BLOWS my mind. He isn't onto the phonics yet, but he has memorised hundreds of words and will go along reading from any book and will ask the words he doesn't know... I will have to get it on film so we don't forget when he is older. Oh and his speech is just amazing (not sure if it's just cause I'm a biased mother, but he speaks sooooo well! He can form amazing sentences, and can talk the leg off a donkey).
Zaccy is an absolute rat bag (I call him rotten child!!! Which I really need to stop before I give him a complex!) But he is sooooooooo stubborn. And clingy like you would not believe, doesn't ever want to be put down even when he is asleep so I have been carrying him for the last 8 months. And when I do finally get to put him down you wouldn't believe the trouble that boy gets into! We've had him up to the Dr's once with a suspected inhaled object, thankfully it was a bit of craft paper, and it ended up being swallowed not inhaled! And just today, I was on the phone to the bank for 5 mins, and he managed to break into the ensuite bathroom and get hold of the toilet duck thing that you put into the bowl of the toilet!! Yes I know YICK! (I'm such a germaphobe that I spent 5 mins washing his hands and mouth - cause yes he was chewing on it) before it clicked that it was a poison and thought to call poisons information. Thankfully though he didn't have the chemical bit just the germ infested cage part (gotta stop thinking about it, as I'm dry retching just telling the story!). The woman on the poisons info found my antics rather amusing. But all is well, as apparently the brand I buy is just like detergent and will only give him a belly ache had he ingested it, which I don't believe he got more than the feralness.
Ok, re reading that Zaccy sounds like a monster, which he isn't he is such a smiley happy thing, with the cheekiest grin!! He just gives me grey hairs with all the naughty stuff he tries to get into - and he isn't even 1! Other than the naughty stuff he is a crawling all over the shop, and standing holding onto things... He will walk along holding onto the couch etc. And has no problem reaching from one item to the next to continue his little walk. So I think he will be walking by himself veryyyy soon! And then he will be into even bigger mischief.
The boys love playing together and it is the sweetest thing - well right up until Zaccy ends up in tears cause Harry doesn't know his own strength. But Harry loves cuddling Zaccy and says the sweetest things... Like 'Come on Cutey Bubba!' - something I say all the time to Zaccy and he has obviously picked up on. Although he also repeats the naughty things too... Like the F word I used the other day when I spilt Coke all through the car... And then when Phil lost on a computer game and groaned that he "Sucks BUTT!" which Harry now loves to repeat that "Daddy Sucks Butt" in the most inopportune times...
Zaccy on the other hand speaks "DOG". It's his favourite word... Everything is "Dog", including the dog. And he will sit there and repeat "DOG" over and over. Nana says she speaks 'DOG' with him and that it means all sorts of things. So they sit there having a great old conversations where they both just repeat the word DOG! Very cute!
Anyway, they are doing a million notable things every day! But I'm too tired to think at the moment. Will think later and try to get back on to update tomorrow, and add some pictures (if I can manage to find our camera!).
Love from Mummy
