Simply Brilliant

Zaccy seems to be, shall we call it intolerant to mosquito bites!  Each bite swells up to about the size of a 10 cent piece and causes many a sleepless night with him crying that they hurt as he scratches his skin off each and every one of them.  We invested in some anti inflamatory/antiseptic/anti all kinds of nasty things cream which seemed to help for about 30 minutes.  But it got to the stage where I would just about have to paint his poor little legs every couple of hours with it to give him any relief.  In the meantime I heard a story about how Manuka honey is great at healing all things, so I thought I would give it a try, after all had to be better then overdosing him on this anti everything cream.  I stuck a bit of honey on a bandaid, stuck the bandaid on Zaccy's bite and low and behold didn't hear another whimper out of him all night!  And it even looked like a normal bite by the next morning!  So now we use it for both the big boys (haven't needed it for Xave yet - touch wood).

Anyway...  Harrison was explaining to his music teacher today that his Daddy had put honey on his mosquito bite.  She asked in a disbelieving voice "did that help?'  To which he answered "Oh yes, brilliantly!" with just the right connotation and inflection.  Had the music teacher and all the parents chuckling....  Such a little smarty bum our little boy.
