The Night's of the no Sleep!!!!

Well here we are up to day 5 from birth and day 2 of at home. All i can say is i thought i would get more sleep. The First night was great he fed he slept 3 to 4 hours woke up needed changing got fed went back to sleep. I thought things would be great what a good baby we have........ Well we all know how this is going to end, "In Tears".

Second night not so great. I tried to sleep as i had to start back to work on Tuesday, I got a few hours sleep then i wake up and the baby is in his bassinet crying and Jodi is on the floor sobbing.... Its all the Hormones they make you think your are unfit to be a mum, that you are not doing it right. He's not helping by not going to sleep after a feed, he just wants to keep feeding. So i got up sent Jodi to bed and sat with him for a while, Still not going to sleep.... What am i doing wrong! Always looks like he is wanting to feed, So i grab the dummy try that. We were trying to not use the dummy as there is issues with using it like speech development and some others but in this case it worked. He would suck on that for a while then spit it out and go to sleep. He woke up after 1 hour and wanted a feed but i knew better he just wanted to suck on something so i gave him his dummy again and then off to sleep..... Get up have to change him (its stopped smelling like bacon and eggs) wake him up in the process, Give him back the dummy 5 mins and he is asleep. Put him down and managed to get some sleep till the next feed at about 7am.

So far we are trying to get him into a pattern of feed sleep for at least 3 hours 4 if he wants to then feed again.

Ok enough of my rambling of a proud new dad who is slowly learning the many squarks of the Baby named Harrison.
