Final picture of the garden. This shows the front yard as it looks at the moment. Needs a lot of fill, a retaining wall at the front and leveling before it becomes a usable yard. Still dont know what to do with the rock wall. Wondering if we should concrete it and render it then the retaining wall could be the same.

Back to the front again for a bit. I know this is from two diferent angles but I guess I should have thought of that before I took the photos. Too late now. Still needs some work. Just too damn cold at the moment to work.

Here is one of the back of the carport. Not a lot better at the moment but the hard work of the tree removal has been done. Just need to clean it up ready for the deck to go in.

This is the view. All we have to do is finishe the front yard so that we can sit out there and enjoy it without sitting in the dirt.

Ok here is a shot looking at the side of our front yard. Now you can see the jungle that has been removed. Makes a nice difference to our view.

Ok here is the first before and after shot of our front yard. Not quite on the same view but you get the idea. More to come!

The weekend that never was!

Well its me again and all those plans of doing something to the garden :) Nothing happened. Saturday came around and we sat on the couch till about 1pm then went and did the shopping.

Jodi went and did her new latest fad :) gekho parties. I sat on the couch and vegged for a few more hours. What a waste of a day!

Highlight of the day was Spaghetti night and the grandparents in law.

Sunday was used up working in the sweat shop :) Then diner at the parents in law again :) almost don't have to buy food anymore .... But we are saving money :) what jodi doesn't spend while out shopping while I work in the sweat shop :) Guess I will be sleeping on the couch, glad we got a comfy one to sleep on.

Anyway no more raving from me till I find something interesting to rave about.

Weekend Follies

Wow it is the weekend again. How time flies when your working your a*s off to pay for your lifestyle of work and more work. I work to live!

Been over the Parents in law having dinner and listening to the BeeGees, you know your old when you sing along with them.

Might look at cleaning the garden a bit this weekend. Will put up some before and after shots of the garden this weekend. Makes a big difference when you clean up.

Not a lot happened this week the Ekka is on from the 11th to the 21st but I don't think we will not be going this year it just costs too damn much. At least with Dreamworld you pay for the entry and the rides are free, but at the Ekka you pay for entry pay 3 to 5 bucks for the rides and then pay through the nose for the food. Its a rip-off and I will not take part this year I have put my foot down! See the determination in my face :-|

Anyway "Hello Dad I'm in Jail" its a song lyric by the way don't take it literally. :)

I cant wait till dad comes to stay with us for a while might actually have some motivation to do something with this house so we do it up a bit and might even make some money from it. I want to do so much to it. But I think the first thing I want to do when dad comes is put a big storage area in the roof space with some stairs in the laundry allowing us to go up to it, then we can get rid of some of the gear we have laying about and actually start on renovating the inside and not just thinking about it.

We had a new Bunnings warehouse open up down the road and we said while they were building it that we would spend every day there looking around. Well I can say we have been once looked around (jodi spent most of the time on the phone). I saw a heaps of things I want to buy and we haven't been back for fear we may actually buy it. I think it is safer if we just stay away. ;)

Well enough of my raving for tonight. Here is a thought. "don't ask questions you don't want to know the answers for."

Night all!

The 411

So you ask who are these fabulous people, well here's the 411

Jodi is a 26 year old Admin Assistant that loathes admin work. She'll decide what she wants to do when she finally grows up. But so far in the last 4 years she has wanted to be a Lawyer, a Nurse, a Journalist, a Movie Director, a Nanny, a Retail Assistant, a Novelist among a million other things and this week she wants to be a Primary School Teacher. With a close knit family including 2 adorable siblings and 22 gorgeous cousins.

Phillip is 32 and works in Accounts and IT Support. Unlike his flighty wife who changes jobs faster than her underwear he has been working for the same company for 10 years!!! Phil grew up in Darwin where he and his little brother like all manly young men drank, wenched and wrestled crocodiles.

They are currently living on the Glorious Gold Coast with their 2 puppies and 249 gold fish. And are slowly renovating their dive of a house, and hope to be finished before 2064.

The Dogs of War

Hello its me again, Phil...

I would like to introduce you to our two dogs. They are (we think) the nicest dogs. Bit messy but they are dogs and meant to be messy. They eat like horses. Although I don't know many horses that love dinosaur bones like these two have in the picture.

Mystique: 3 year old Rotti x Labrador

&

Isobella: 2 year old Labrador x Something :)

Bridge to Brisbane 2005

Well what a first post.

4am start so we could get from the Gold Coast where we live to the Gateway Bridge to walk 12 km for charity. O'h what fun.
It was 9°c when we left home. Dont know what the temp was when we got there but the girls were cold.
Anway here are some of the pictures. Not many but more posts and more of our life later.

This is a picture looking back from where we had come from with more people streaming in.

This is a picture looking forward to where we have to go. We got there fairly early so were not to far from the front.

Here is one of the Costume Entries.
