Well here is our first Vegetable from our garden. Its not a small one either. We grow them big at our house. If you build it more will follow.... Posted by Picasa

Nearly 7 weeks

Well Harrison is 6 weeks and 5 days today, and weighing in at 5.3kg (he has put on another 300 grams since last Wednesday -1 week ago exactly). My little over achiever (they are happy if they put on 100 grams).

Grandma left today to go back home, much to Mummy's horror as it was nice to have someone to talk to during the day (well that can actually talk back in something other than baby talk) and even nicer to have someone to mind Harry while I have a shower... Or give a 2nd opinion as to why he is crying...

Other than that everything is going along swimmingly... Harrison has a lot more awake time where he will gurgle and talk with you, and give his cute little giggles and grins... I can normally get a laugh out of him by stating "hippopotamus knickers", "monkeys knickers" or "Harrison's knickers".... And we have discovered that we can amuse him for at least 15 mins just by keeping his mobile wound and playing... I have even managed to get him to sleep in his bassinette or cot but for no more than 20 min intervals, so am still getting him to sleep in the sling or holding him in my arms constantly, even at night (and would actually miss it if he suddenly changed his mind and wanted to sleep by himself) I'm just not ready for him to sleep in his cot yet...

Well here are some of the latest photos of my little man....

Getting there slowly

Okay well I'm no where near an expert, but I think I might finally be getting this whole mummy thing... Well some days, the good days anyway. Ask me again on a bad day. But I would strongly recommend it to everyone (if you can muddle through the first weeks, as I can honestly say it was the biggest learning curve I've ever had to undertake).

And Harrison is possibly the smartest little person on the planet (am I a biased mummy or what) he has started to hold his head up so he can have a look around, and tries talking to you in his little baby language, and as the earlier picture proved has a gorgeous smile & even cuter giggle.

I can't believe how fast he is growing, we have been blessed with him for just over 5 weeks, and I feel like I have been given the most amazing gift. I definately see a problem with me going back to work when he is only 6 months, as I feel like I'm missing a limb when he isn't with me. So we are madly searching for a way that we can afford to keep me home to be a stay home mummy.

Well I'm off to take my gorgeous little man to bed... But will no doubt be back with more ravings on how perfect he is soon.

4 weeks today!!!

Well we have managed to make it to 4 weeks without Mummy going completely insane.

I now manage to get a good amount of sleep, although this does entail me falling to sleep half reclined while feeding him, and he spends the whole night sleeping on my stomach... But whatever works right??

Well Harrison has been for his 5 day Dr's check up and the Health Nurse Check, and both are very happy with his progress. My little fatso is putting on weight at a rate of knots... At 1 week 5 days he was 3.56kg at 3 weeks he was 4.03kg and Wednesday he was 4.32kg. So he has put on just under a kg since leaving the hospital and 290 grms in the last 5 days.

Grandma (Gay) has come to visit... It's so nice to have someone to help me understand what my poor little Harry needs. And she will be here for about a month, if I don't wear her out with our all day shopping adventures first and she decides to run away.

Here is a cute one of my 2 handsome boys watching TV...
